    The Histon and Impington Wellbeing Team are holding a Family Hub session on Saturday 30th April between 11am-12pm at the Saint Andrew’s Centre with the aim of bringing families together to improve wellbeing through creativity. With an hour of wellbeing craft activities for school-aged children, and time to chat and relax for parents.

  • Loss in Children and Teenagers Workshop

    Practical and informative ways to help your practical and informative ways to help your child develop strategies for coping with loss (including bereavement, divorce, environmental changes) on Monday 13 June, 7-9pm at the Saint Andrew’s Centre, Histon.

    Open to anyone interested in supporting children and teens with their mental health and wellbeing. This one of two new evening workshops from the HI Friends mental wellbeing team the other is Anxiety in Children and Teenagers. They are face to face workshops, full of practical and hands-on ideas to help your child deal with day-to-day anxiety as well as one-off and recurrent trauma. Based on creative counselling and play therapy principles, the workshops are run by HI Friends play therapist Emma Moat, who has 15 years of counselling, therapy and training experience. The workshops will contain practical exercises and a Q&A session..

    The workshops are free, however we do ask for a donation on the night to go towards HI Friends Charity.

  • Outdoor Mindfulness


    Mindfulness practice, mindful walking & opportunities for exploring mindfulness in the outdoors with Elinor & Shani from Being Human Together

    There will be two sessions at 11am and 2pm on Saturday 22nd of May on Manor Field (behind Manor Park)

    Numbers are limited to 20 per session so prior booking is required. To book please email info@hifriends.org.uk

  • Hope Again Bereavement Programme

    Hope Again Bereavement Programme

    The next Hope Again programme starts on Thursday 6th May at 2.00pm for 6 weeks until 10th June at Histon Methodist Church Hall.

    No charge is made for attendance as funding has been received from local Charities including The Red Lion Beer Festival. No charge is made for attendance but please let the organiser know if you are planning to attend.

    This short and interactive sessions for parents will be led by Kate Blackwell, Senior Wellbeing Co-ordinator for Care Network.

    The talk will explore

    • What good wellebing is
    • The benefit of boosting your wellebing
    • How to develop a personal action plan to enhance your wellebing

    There will be some resources to take away to help you continue with your wellbeing plans.
