    Chair of the Board of Trustees – CPET

    Cambridge Primary Education Trust (CPET), who have 5 schools, including the Infant and Junior Schools that will become the Histon and Impington Park Primary School and Histon and Impington Brook Primary School through primary schools in September 2021, are looking for this new voluntary roles.

    Chair of the Board of Trustees (Voluntary Role) to replace the current Chair who is standing down at the end of their term of office in December 2021, and the Trust is seeking to ideally appoint a new Chair from the new school year commencing September 2021, to coincide with the start of the school year and ensure a handover is in place. This is an opportunity to participate in an exciting development in primary education, both in relation to the development and execution of CPET’s strategic direction and in day-to-day responses to the overall evolving context of education and community. This includes supporting a balanced growth agenda and adjusting to the operational impact and lessons learnt from Covid-19.

  • Volunteers and Trustees – Camtrust

    Camtrust is a local charity specialising in life skills for adults with physical disabilities and learning difficulties. They offer a wide range of programmes and activities teaching skills for independent living, helping clients feel confident in their abilities and reach their potential.

    As a small charity, Camtrust relies on its excellent team of volunteers and trustees and they are looking for several new volunteers to support clients in their day-to-day learning. Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 3.30pm. 1 day a week on a regular basis.

    Typically, volunteering roles in the centre might involve:

    • Bike Repairs
    • Work experience in the community
    • Coffee Mornings
    • Independent Living Skills
    • Shopping
    • Budgeting
    • Cooking and Baking
    • Travel Training
    • Internet Safety

    • Lunch Club
    • Arts and Crafts
    • Gardening
    • Core Skills
    • ICT
    • Literacy
    • Maths

    Please note that:

    • Camtrust could be flexible on the hours volunteered as long as we’re able to cover the full day.
    • The morning session is 9.30am-12.30pm and the afternoon session is 12.30pm-3.30pm.
    • Some of the mentioned activities have been put on hold due to COVID-19. This might be reviewed after the 19th July.
    • There are infection control measures in place as a result of COVID-19, including the requirement to wear a medical grade face mask whilst in the building and taking regular COVID-19 tests. Both of which will be supplied by Camtrust.
    • Any offers of a volunteering position would be subject to an introductory visit, Enhanced DBS check and induction.

    Trustee – Internet Watch Foundation

    The Internet Watch Foundation are looking for a new Trustee with expertise in at least one of Marketing and Communications or Children support/protection services. The role could be based in London or their offices on the Vision Park.

    IWF are open to appointing a ‘first time’ Trustee who has no previous experience on a Board or Subcommittee or an experienced NED/Trustee. They have partnered with BAME Recruitment to support this process.
