  • Netball Holiday Camp

    South Cambs District Council is running a netball holiday camp on 28th May at Impington Village College Sports Centre.

    Receive coaching suitable for all abilities from those who are trying netball for the first time to those who already play.  The days will have fun games/activities in attacking and defending, along with learning the skills of shooting, footwork, passing and catching.

  • Geological Society Talk

    Monday 12th May from 7.30pm at the Saint Andrew’s Centre.

    Unravelling the glacial history of Eastern England by Prof Phil Gibbard, Dept of Geography, University of Cambridge.

    The Cambs Geological Society meets monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month. An hourly talk on matters pertaining to geology, both local and global. Talks are expected to be accessible to all with or without a knowledge of geology.

  • Kawaii Kubs – Construction

    Kawaii Kubs is holding play sessions on Sunday 11th May at 9am and 11am at the Royal British Legion.

    Earn your apprenticeship as a budding builder on our Kawaii Construction site. Practice your truck driving skills around our cones, play our cone hoop toss game, practice using your tool set, play our hammer smash activity and more.

  • Bird Song Guided Walk

    Guided walk at Croft Close Nature Reserve on Saturday 3rd May from 8 – 9.30am.

    April/May is one of the best months to get out and enjoy nature, particularly bird song. This guided walk led by a birding enthusiast will be all about enjoying the early morning bird song, and seeing a summer migrant or two as a bonus.

    Nuclera are looking for this role based at their offices at One Vision Park, Impington

    Reagent Production & Test Technician to prepare, formulate and dispense reagents according to established protocols and specifications. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including pipettes, centrifuges, and microplate readers. Perform quality control tests to ensure reagents meet required standards for purity, stability, and performance.

  • Manufacturing & Test Engineer – Nuclera

    Nuclera are looking for this role based at their offices at One Vision Park, Impington

    Manufacturing & Test Engineer to play a pivotal role in supporting and developing the manufacture of the eProtein Discovery instrument. You will focus on process improvements, testing strategies, and quality assurance to ensure we deliver world-class products. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Identify and remove bottlenecks in the production process to improve efficiency and scalability while reducing variability. Run Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for instruments and refine testing strategies as part of continuous improvement initiatives. Design and build test fixtures to support instrument testing and validation.

  • Histon and Impington Garden Club

    Histon and Impington Garden Club meets on the second Tuesday of the month from 7.30pm at Histon Methodist Church hall.

    On March 12th, Dr Twids Way will reveal the origins of Traditional Wildflower names.

    Coffee/tea and biscuits will be served after the talk to give members a chance to catch up on garden topics. Visitors are most welcome.
