  • Camtrust Open Day

    Camtrust, a leading charity dedicated to empowering adults with learning disabilities through tailored training programmes, announces its upcoming Open Day on Wednesday 9th July. The event will take place at the Camtrust centre in Impington, between 10am and 2pm, offering a warm invitation to all members of the community.

    Guests are invited to explore the Camtrust centre, including its vibrant garden and innovative workshops, showcasing the achievements and talents of its clients.

    Refreshments will be available.

  • Geological Society Talk

    Monday 9th June from 7.30pm at the Saint Andrew’s Centre.

    Landscapes and environments of long ago by Mike Tuke. How geologists determine ancient environments, illustrated by an accompanying collection of rocks which provide evidence of some of he typical features of those environments. An excellent introduction to geology and how the characteristics of various rocks reveal the earth’s history and how landscapes are formed.

    The Cambs Geological Society meets monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month. An hourly talk on matters pertaining to geology, both local and global. Talks are expected to be accessible to all with or without a knowledge of geology.

    The hall is open from 7pm for refreshments for a 7.30pm start.

  • Kawaii Kubs – Under the Sea

    Kawaii Kubs is holding play sessions on Sunday 8th June at 9am and 11am at the Royal British Legion.

    Join us in an adventure under the sea. Explore our messy and sensory sea-themed playtrays with all sorts of treasures to discover. Take part in our clean the ocean activity and have fun with our fishy friends and more.

    Sessions are suitable for for sitting babies, toddlers, and kids up to 5/6 years old.

    Impington Music Society is holding a concert on Friday 6th June from 7.30pm at Impington Village College.

    Piano duets performed by Thanea and Maurice Hodges will end our season with a perfect ‘Summer Soirée’.

    Concerts take place in the Brackenbury Room and are open to the public.

  • South Cambs Community Engagement Meeting

    South Cambs Community Engagement Meeting

    Cambridgeshire Constabulary is holding a South Cambs Community Engagement meeting on Wednesday 21st May from 7pm online.

    During the meeting you will get the opportunity to meet your neighbourhood officers, find out what has been happening over the past three months and help shape the policing priorities for the future. There is also a question-and-answer section so you can ask the neighbourhood officers anything you wish.

    Histon and Impington Archaeology Group (HIAG) is holding a talk on Monday 19th May from 7.30pm at Histon Methodist Church and via Zoom.

    The talk is entitled “A428, First century Roman wells” by Ana Bordona Foz from the MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology).

    HI Sustainability Meet-up

    Monday 19th May from 7.30pm in ‘The Snug’ at The Boot.

    A space to share ideas and experiences to help us all live more sustainable lives. There will be a chance to hear about the plans for upcoming events and to get involved if you wish.

    This will also be a forum to discuss new ideas for village events and to share news about events further afield.

    HI Sustainability has a meeting on Monday 2nd June from 7.30pm at the Salvation Army hall.

    We’ll be sharing experiences about EV cars.  This event is for anyone who has an electric car, is thinking about getting one, or is just curious.  

    ‘Conversations about….’ evenings are friendly gatherings at which to meet new people and share ideas. All welcome. Refreshments provided. No booking required.
