How to build a Roman Villa – HIAG talk

Paddy Lambert, Project Officer at Oxford Archaeology East (OAE) will give a talk about the weird and wonderful world of building Roman Villas.

This talk presents the preliminary results of a nationally significant archaeological excavation. The incredibly well-preserved remains include a Romano-British building site, a temple-mausoleum converted to a tile factory, pottery, and lime manufacture and much, much more. For lovers of the Roman world, it ranks amongst the most exciting and important Late Romano-British archaeology encountered from Roman Britain. And one of the best examples of a Roman road recently excavated.

It will be held on Monday 13th September at 7.30pm by Zoom.
