    Teaching Assistant the role may involve supporting whole-class teaching, leading group interventions as well as supporting individual pupils with a range of needs. You will also be expected to assist in the preparation of some lesson resources and classroom displays. Your deployment may vary throughout the year according to the needs of the children. Midday Supervision will also be part of the role and a willingness to undergo first-aid training would be desirable.  Required from January 2023 – as soon as possible.     Administrative Assistant to be part of a small office team the role will include some reception duties, greeting visitors, answering emails and telephone calls, managing pupil records including attendance and admissions data, liaison with external agencies (when required e.g. with the local authority regarding admissions), maintaining pupil information records and assisting in the coordination of school events such as parents’ evenings. Part-time position: 4 days a week, 27 hours per week.   • Knight’s Quest

    This October half term the Histon and Impington Park Primary School PTA are organising a knights’ quest for the school children and their families (and anyone else in the village that would like to take part). Request your quest by 20th October and complete it by 7th November.

    The children will have to answer questions about things they can see on a described route and all information will be emailed to families to participate in the hunt in their own time over the half term break.

  • Site Officer – Park Primary

    Park Primary, which was the Junior School and is part of the Meridian Trust, is looking for this role.

    Site Officer the role will be varied and will include general maintenance of the school site; locking/unlocking and key holder duties; routine testing e.g. fire/security alarms; porterage duties; liaising with contractors; health and safety on the site; the monitoring and reduction of energy consumption and the supervision of the premises during community use, where appropriate. This position involves a split shift to cover early mornings plus an afternoon/early evening shift at the school. Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, hours between 07:00 and 18:10.   • HICLT MakerSpace Creative Afternoon

    Histon and Impington Community Land Trust has been exploring the idea of a Makerspace for the community and is holding a creative afternoon at Histon and Impington Park Primary School on Saturday 22nd October between 3pm and 5pm.  

    A Makerspace would be a place with shared resources that you can use to do creative work, share your skills and meet other creative people. There will be some demonstrations, talks and fun activities as well as a Q&A session. We’ll talk about opportunities to get involved and how to volunteer to help make this project a reality. 

    This is a family friendly event and there will be refreshments available. Parents will be responsible for their children while on school premises.

    Trust Special Educational Needs Coordinator to oversee the development of the SEND provision. This will include working with pupils with individual needs; overseeing the creation and implementation of individual plans to enable pupils to access the curriculum; reviewing and assessing pupil progress and targets; liaising with external agencies and providing pastoral support to pupils and their families. Staff training will be a strong feature of the role. You will be supported in your role by SEND teaching assistants as well as the SENCos across our multi-academy trust where you will be able to share good practice to ensure the very highest quality of provision for our SEND pupils. This post will be available to start either from the beginning of the Summer or Autumn term of 2022.
