    Summer 2025 Harvest Worker to join the harvest team for Summer 2025 (July to September). These roles are to assist in all aspects of harvest and drilling work. Experience is not essential, and necessary training will be provided. The minimum age for applicants is 18 years old, and work is suitable for all ages. Full time, temporary role. There is potential for future employment after summer.

    Temporary Field Trials Technicians to work in plant variety trials. The roles will involve sample collection, measuring plant characteristics in the field and via image analysis, and a range of other practical tasks. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in agricultural field crops/plot trials, while developing professional skills in team working, time management and practical problem solving. The work can be physically demanding and will entail spending substantial periods working outdoors, in all weather conditions.  Fixed term from 1 April 2025 30 August 2025 Working hours Full time Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (0800:1600).     Temporary Trials Technician which will involve basic plant husbandry, which includes watering, pruning and potting of plants as well as assisting the trials co-ordinator with assessments, record keeping and photography and a range of other practical tasks. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in protected agriculture/horticulture trials, while developing professional skills in team working, time management and practical problem solving. You will be working outside in all weather conditions and in our glasshouses, which can reach high temperatures during the summer months. You will be in constant contact with plants and insects (including bees), therefore sufferers from hay fever or other allergies could experience problems.     Harvest Workers to join their harvest team for Summer 2022. Ideally suited to those interested in agriculture or plant breeding, with potential for future employment. These roles are for part time staff to assist in all aspects of harvest and drilling work. Experience is not essential, and necessary training will be provided. The minimum age for applicants is 18 years old. The nature of the tasks means work will include, at times, physically demanding tasks, outdoors in all conditions. Appropriate PPE will be provided for work in dusty and noisy environments. They have several temporary positions available within the period July to September. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5pm with a half hour lunch break. Extensive overtime is available in the evenings and weekends.

    Placement Student for a 15 month placement which will include time spread across all sectors of the company in the trials team drilling, harvesting and field work, with the breeders scoring and learning the breeding process as well as with the commercial team in sales, marketing and administration. Being a small breeder, we are able to be flexible to ensure you get the best out of your year in work.
