  • Hedge Planting Family Event

    Sunday 7th December from 10.30am – 12.30pm at Long Meadow.

    We are finally ready for some more planting! Our small bare root plants (“whips”) are coming, and we are looking for families to come and help us plant up the next section of the hedge.

    We will also have some fun and creative activities, and hot drinks available.

    Just pop along any time between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm to join in the fun.

    HI Family Hub

    The Histon and Impington Wellbeing Team are holding a Family Hub session on Saturday 25th February between 11am-12pm at the Saint Andrew’s Centre.

    It is a space for an hour of wellbeing craft activities for school-aged children, and time to chat and relax for parents.

  • Christmas Family Hub

    The HI Friends Christmas Family Hub is a friendly environment for children and their families to come together to improve their wellbeing on 10 December at 11am in the Saint Andrew’s Centre.

    Come along for a hour and a half of Christmas craft activities, with the opportunity to take part in the Christmas Card Exchange with older people in our community.

    The session will be led by Sophie Howell, HI Friends mental wellbeing worker. Ren, our parental wellbeing worker, will be there too.

    Free but donations welcome

  • HBC Sparkler Party

    Histon Baptist Church is holding a Sparkler Party on Saturday 5th November from 4.30 – 6.30pm.

    This event is for families with young child and will include crafts, face painting, refreshments and sparklers.

  • #Discover – Cambridgeshire Music

    Cambridgeshire Music is launching its new centre on 23rd and 24th September in New School Road, Histon.

    With workshops aimed for children, young people and families to try, play and enjoy our new musical space. Events from Live Open Mic Night to SEN, Family Music workshops to a folk party on the Saturday evening.

    All events and workshops are free.

    Family Support Worker, Teacher of RE and Philosophy – IVC

    IVC are looking to recruit to for these roles.

    Family Support Worker to provide an intensive support service to pupils and/or
    their parents, identified by the schools as ‘vulnerable’ or ‘in need’ and provide a link between home and school to help resolve difficulties at an early stage. Starting in September 2021, 17 hours per week, Term Time Only, Posted on 18th May apply by 7th June 9am.

    IVC are looking to recruit for two new roles.

    Family Support Worker to provide an intensive support service to pupils and/or their parents, identified by the schools as ‘vulnerable’ or ‘in need’ and provide a link between home and school to help resolve difficulties at an early stage. 17 hours per week Fixed Term Contract to 31 August 2021.     Design Technology Technician to maintain equipment, prepare materials for lessons and provide support in the classroom. Closing Date 10:00 – 19th October 2020.
