  • Zumba Toning

    Zumba class led by Kerry 8.30 to 9.30am on Saturdays at the Saint Andrew’s Centre.

    £8 PAYG (or £70 for a 10 class pass). All classes are drop in, no commitment to come every week, simply join whenever you fancy! Cash, cheque or bank transfer accepted. 

    Classes are also live streamed via Zoom (£6 PAYG)

  • HI Friends Rec Monday Club

    In partnership with PosAbility the HI Friends Rec Monday Club provides a variety of fitness activities/sessions every Monday at the Rec Centre for older people and those recovering from illness. Experienced instructors from PosAbility deliver the sessions and transport to these activities can be provided locally via the Minibus.

    10-11am  Stronger for Longer
    Enjoy social fitness with fun chair-based gentle exercises with a mixture of seated and standing positions … plus a cup of tea or coffee to finish!
    Cost is £6 per week (including a drink).

    11.30am-1.30pm  Specialist Exercise Activities
    Providing a positive attitude to those recovering from a stroke or living with a long term condition (eg Parkinsons. MS). Sessions include chair-based exercise, balance & resistance work, coordination & memory skills, speech and conversation.
    Cost is £14 per week (including a drink).

    1.45-3pm  Memory and Coordination Class
    Exercises to help improve memory and coordination, with professional instructors … plus a cup of tea or coffee to finish!
    Cost is £6 per week (including a drink)

  • Chair-Based Exercise Instructor, Exercise Instructor – PosAbility

    PosAbility, a Cambridge based charity who work with HI Friends to deliver group exercise classes for people living with long term health conditions on the Recreation Ground and in other locations around the Cambridgeshire, are looking for these roles.

    Chair-Based Exercise Instructor to deliver and develop exercise activities to specialist groups and older people. This is a part-time role for 16 hours per week.

    Trainee Exercise Instructor a part time role, working alongside instructors to assist clients taking part in exercise sessions.

    Long Covid Class

    A specialist exercise activity for those living with Long Covid or whose health has deteriorated during Covid with specialist instructors from Posability. On Tuesdays 2.30-3.30pm at the Recreation Ground Community Room starting on 5th October.

  • Mobility Bootcamp

    Mobility Bootcamp class has now restarted at the Rec on Tuesdays 1:00-1:30pm and is for everyone no matter what mobility issues they may have. Lou believes exercise should be accessible to all and movements can always be adapted to suit members.

    Sessions cost £4-£5 (block bookings or PAYG available)
