Reviews Editor for the journal Development commissioning, handling peer review and developmental editing of review-type content for the
journal and conducting interviews with members of the community, writing press releases, article. The deadline for application is 7 November 2022
Editorial Administrator to be responsible for the administration of the journal peer-review system. The main day-to-day tasks will be the receipt of manuscripts and progressing them through peer review using the Bench>Press manuscript tracking system. General administration will include providing help and rapid response for Bench>Press users (authors, referees, editors), efficient and rapid record keeping using the database, sending out proofs to authors, ensuring all accepted manuscripts and relevant files are passed on to appropriate departments in a timely manner, filing, archiving and prioritization of workload, together with support and cover for other members of the
journal team as required, and dealing with author, referee and editor telephone queries. Closing date for applications 4 November 2022.
Sustainability Officer to focus on working with colleagues and the scientific community to develop and share best practice for sustainable / remote conferencing. This will include facilitation of discussion around piloting of new technology and technical solutions for sustainable conferencing that will support biologists to communicate productively while minimising their need to travel and the impact on the environment. In addition, the role will be responsible for undertaking a range of duties including compliance reporting, managing sustainability projects and providing guidance to colleagues on sustainability issues.
