Walking Sports Training
Sally Gibson is looking at establishing some walking sports in Histon from June, anyone interested in becoming an activator should get in touch with her.
Walking sports are for lots of people, older people, people in pre-retirement, those returning from injury, those wanting to get back into sport but at slower pace.
Also contact Sally if you interested in participating in walking sport,
There is an ECB accredited training event at the Hive Centre in Ely with limited spaces.

Histon and Impington Litter Pickers
HILP meet at 9.30 in The Village car park at the back of the High Street (opposite Tylers Estate Agents), where equipment is handed out.
Our Quarterly Big Tidy Up events are the first Saturday in March, June, September and December.
To ensure everyone is covered by the Parish Public Liability Insurance, volunteers should provide their name and email address to Cedric Foster (cedric.jl.foster1944@btinternet.com), so that they have relevant Health & Safety information before the events. Litter Pickers only have to do this once.

Local Plan Eco-Input
Concerned about what’s happening all around us here in the Cambridge area? About the impacts of growth and development on climate change, wildlife, sustainable transport? About getting more eco-homes in the right places at affordable prices for our younger and older people? The two Councils (SCDC and Cambridge City) are collaborating in making a joint Local Plan – and are at the very first stage, wanting to get input from everyone young and old, about what really matters. They are urging us to get involved now in creating “the most important document most people have never heard of”.
