  • Histon and Impington Croquet Club

    Histon and Impington Croquet Club is opening up again from Monday 19th April. All players welcome. They play on two marked up lawns on the Parish Recreation Ground between April and September.

  • Dance for Fitness and Wellbeing

    Dance for Fitness & Wellbeing will re-start on Wednesday 14th April for 6 weeks after Spring Bank Holiday, initially on Zoom but may transfer back into the Community Room on the Recreation Ground if is allowed.

    It is a fun way to get fit in a small space. The class consists of a general warm up, followed by a section where we practice steps over and over and then usually about six dances choreographed to individual tracks varying from Jive, Salsa to Street Dance and even Banghra.

  • The Ark at HBC

    The ARK toddler group at Histon Baptist Church is due to reopen on Thursday 15th April (9:15-11:30am) and look forward to welcoming new and previous attendees!

    To comply with government guidelines please note the following details:

    • They will be meeting outside in the church manse garden and the entrance will be via the gate at the end of the church car park.
    • They are limited at present to 13 adults plus staff in attendance, so you will need to register in advance for a space using the Eventbrite system in this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/…/the-ark-at-histon…
    • They will meet provided the weather is good – please check our Facebook page if in doubt whether we are unable to meet.
    • Unfortunately, they are unable to offer refreshments currently so please bring your own drinks and snacks.
    • Toilets and baby changing facilities will be available.
    • Attendance will be free during April and May.
    • The usual Covid social distancing and hand sanitising rules will apply to adults in attendance and we will need to register your attendance. Please do not attend if you, your children or anyone you are in contact with displays any Covid symptoms.

    Outdoor group fitness class on the Rec on Thursdays at 1.30pm with BB Fit.

    All fitness levels welcome for a full body workout, lose weight, get stronger and have fun!

    Mobility Bootcamp class has now restarted at the Rec on Tuesdays 1:00-1:30pm and is for everyone no matter what mobility issues they may have. Lou believes exercise should be accessible to all and movements can always be adapted to suit members.

    Sessions cost £4-£5 (block bookings or PAYG available)

    The club meets every Sunday from 5 to 6.15pm. Initial sessions will be held outside at the rear of the Rec centre.

    Families are welcome with children aged over 10, but children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
