Save Burdett House meeting – change of venue!

An informal meeting on 12th March at 2:00 pm at Phoenix where Pippa Heylings and Yvonne Murray will be to answer any queries following Abbeyfields notice that they intend to close Burdett House.

This lovely, friendly home, for up to 17 residents, is located on Station Road near the Baptist Church. Over the past five months we have been lobbying for it to remain open and provide a much needed home for those aged 80 plus years. It particularly caters for the older person who wishes to maintain their independence but with more support than they would get in purely sheltered housing. It is not a Care Home.

Further details can be obtained from Tony Raphael (tonrap1@gmail.com)
