  • HIAG Geophysics sessions

    There are a limited number of places available for Geophysics sessions in areas close to the original medieval centres of Histon & Impington from Monday 24th to Sunday 30th May 2021.

    Resistivity and magnetometry instruments will be used to look for hidden features below ground level which may give further clues to the early development of the villages.

    If you are interested in participating then please email: hisimp.archaeology.group@gmail.com stating which days and which sessions (am or pm) you would be available, and whether you have any previous experience of geophysics.

    If you have no previous experience of geophysics they will be able to provide some informal training.

    Please note: Places are limited and will be allocated first come first served basis.

  • Defibrillator Training

    Following the defibrillator training seminar that was held at Histon Baptist church via Zoom in March 2021, Community Heartbeat Trust have kindly offered to give a further training seminar. This will be in person at the Baptist church on Saturday 3 July 2021 at 10:00am. The seminar should last about 90 minutes and there is no charge for this.

    There will 5 dummies on hand for those wanting to practice chest compressions. Attendance certificates will be sent to all those attending who are content to pass on their e-mail address to Community Heartbeat Trust. Social distancing and masks may be required depending on Covid19 restrictions at the time.

    Bike Events will be hosting the Cambridge 100/60/35 mile charity cycle ride on Sunday 23rd May 2021. It starts and finishes at Impington Village College.
