  • Introduction to Electric Vehicles

    Buckingham Stanley on the High Street is holding an event from 9.30am to 2pm on Saturday 26th March to give an informal introduction to electric cars.

    There will be a selection of electric cars and motorcycles to look at and drive, as well as people on hand to answer any questions you may have about range, charging, pricing or anything else you are curious about the world of EV driving.

    Histon Library are hosting an event on Wednesday 20th April from 2-3.30pm.

    The Business & IP Centre (BIPC) Cambridgeshire & Peterborough provides free and low-cost business support and advice to start up business owners, entrepreneurs, and inventors.

  • HILF Book Sale

    Histon and Impington Library Friends are holding a book sale on Saturday 12th March from 10am to 12pm on The Green.

    This is held by kind permission of the parish council – weather permitting of course!

    HILF is fundraising to support events and facilities at Histon Library.

  • Edmund Trust Charity Fundraiser Night

    The Rose and Crown is hosting a fundraising event on Saturday 2nd April from 3pm.

    Jessica Robinson, a support worker for the Edmund Trust in Milton, which houses and supports disabled adults, is raising money to enable outdoor access for wheelchair users at their property.

    The evening of entertainment will include food, karaoke, a DJ, raffle prizes, and a live singer.

  • Prayers for Ukraine

    The Histon Salvation Army Church will be open on Friday 4th March from 9 to 11am for people to pray for or reflect on the situation in Eastern Europe.

    Please feel free to drop in (use our front doors). There will be several ‘stations’ set up to help you guide your prayers, or you are welcome to just come in to sit, light a candle and reflect.

    Histon Methodist Church will be open for prayer for the people of Ukraine on Saturday 5th March between 10am and 12pm.

    Please feel free to pop in for quiet reflection.

    Tea and Coffee will be available in the hall for which we request a donation which will sent to the Ukraine Emergency Appeal.

    Sally Stafford, University Library, will be delivering a talk on Charles Darwin.

  • Tree Planting

    Tree Planting

    HI Trees Action Group are providing another tree planting opportunity at 10am on Saturday 12th March.

    The aim is to plant 80-150 trees on the North side of the village – creating two mini-woodlands. The sites are 1-1.5km from the nearest parking so you’ll need to be able to walk that far to take part. Please bring your own spade – trees will be provided.

  • Stage and Screen Easter Workshop

    Cambridgeshire Music is holding a two day creative Stage & Screen workshop on the 7th & 8th April 2022 at its Histon & Impington Centre on New School Road.

    Open to students aged 8-12 years old the workshop will explore ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ through sessions in Drama, Music and Movement.

    Students will also have the opportunity to gain an Arts Award Discover certificate through Trinity College London and will record their performance which will be sent to parents after the workshop has taken place.
