  • Easter Family Event

    HI Churches Together are hosting an Easter family event on Good Friday from 10am to 2pm at Histon Baptist Church.

    The activities will gently relate to and explore the story of Easter in a way that is friendly to children and those who are not so familiar with the events of the first Easter. There will be a variety of activities that suit different ages and interests including games, crafts, baking, prayer/reflection space and film to watch.

    Everyone is welcome, whatever your beliefs or faith. Come along anytime between 10am and 2pm.  In the run-up to Easter you will likely spot some Giant Easter eggs outside the Baptist church too.  To find out more get in touch with either Tim Blake (tim@standrewshiston.org), Kate Farmer, Georgina Symons or Rachel Carr.

  • Easter Egg Hunt

    St Andrew’s Church are hosting an Easter egg hunt, bouncy slide and castle and bring and share tea on Easter Sunday.

    To round off each event they will share the Easter story, a special Simnel Easter cake and other food brought along. This year, there will be two events running back to back for different ages. At 2.30pm they welcome all with Under 5 year olds until 4pm when all 6+ aged children are welcome until 5.30pm. If you have children in both categories, please choose one, both or a bit of each.

  • Crafty Kids Easter Fair

    The Crafty Kids are back at Histon Smokehouse on Sunday 17th April from 10am to 4pm.

    There will be stalls, entertainment, food and an Easter egg hunt. They will be raising money for War Child UK’s emergency fund which will help children in Ukraine.

  • Cogwheel Counselling Spring Quiz

    Cogwheel Counselling is holding a quiz on Saturday 23rd April from 7.30pm at the Saint Andrew’s Centre.

    The quiz will help to raise funds to provide affordable counselling.

    Teams of 1 to 8 are welcome. To register a team please email neil@cogwheel.org.uk. Please bring your own drink.

  • Eco-Fashion Workshop & Exhibition

    Histon Library has a Library Presents event on Saturday 14th May.

    Oblique Arts will lead an upcycle workshop and show you how to create fabulous fashion from your cast away clothing from 2pm.

  • Morrison on Mother’s day

    Histon Smokehouse have a special Mother’s Day Sunday Brunch on Sunday 27th March, with music from Morrison.

    Sara, Ian and Flossie Morrison will be playing classic songs through the years. Performing from 11am.

    All day brunch with free pudding for Mum. Brunch menu starts at 9.30am until 2.30pm with 241 cocktails 1-3pm.

  • Community Breakfast and Coffee Morning

    Histon Salvation Army are holding a Community Breakfast & Coffee Morning on Saturday 19th March from 9.30am-11.30am.

    Histon Iceni Cubs will be helping to take orders, serve food and make everyone feel very much at home.

    Menu includes a full English Breakfast with toast, tea or coffee and juice for only £6.

  • Jazz at Histon Smokehouse

    Jazz at Histon Smokehouse

    Histon Smokehouse is hosting a Jazz Brunch on Sunday 20th March from 11.30am.

    Jazz and swing from the 20s and 30s will be performed by The Smokehouse Stompers. The Stompers on this occasion will be Hugh Boyde on guitar and vocals, Chas Hutchings on trumpet, Pete Newman on clarinet, and John Trowsdale on bass.

    Brunch menu starts at 9.30am until 2.30pm with 241 cocktails 1-3pm.

  • Jubilee Picnic and Garden Party

    There will be an afternoon of fun at the Recreation Ground on Sunday 5th June from 12.30pm.

    Licensed and PIMS bar, refreshments and BBQ.

    There will be on the day car parking and event signage but please walk/cycle to events whenever possible. Parking for this event is at Histon Football Ground.

  • Jubilee Weekend Boogie Night

    As part of the Jubilee weekend celebrations there will be a celebration of 70s/80s music on Saturday 4th June from 7.30pm at the Recreation Ground.

    With special guest band ‘Superstition’, a 9 piece band with brass section.

    Licensed bar and food provided by Histon Smokehouse.
