    For children aged 8 to 15 years who can swim at least 50 metres and are comfortable in deep water.

    South Cambs District Council is running a netball camp at Impington Village College on Wednesday 26th October from 10am to 3.30pm.

    This holiday camp is for children in Year 3 to Year 9 of all abilities.

  • Kawaii Kubs Halloween Party

    Kawaii Kubs are holding a Halloween party on Sunday 30th October. Sessions throughout the day plus an extra Kawaii Kids from 6pm to 7pm for ages 5 to 9 years.

    Mix magic spells in the cauldrons at our potion playtrays, make a beautiful pumpkin suncatcher wreath to hang up at home, explore multi sensory Halloween themed play trays and activity trays and more.

  • Book Sale

    Histon and Impington Library Friends (HILF) are holding a book sale on Saturday 8th October from 10am to 12pm on the Green.

    A great collection of adults’ and children’s books at pocket money prices or make us an offer. HILF is fundraising to support events and facilities at Histon Library.

    HILF would be pleased to hear from volunteers available on the second Saturday morning of the month. Tasks include moving boxes of books and tables by car within the village, lifting boxes of books, setting up and packing away books or just selling.

  • Garden Club

    Histon and Impington Garden Club is holding a meeting on Tuesday 11th October at 7.30pm at Histon Methodist Church.

    Speaker Ian Bedford will give a talk entitled ‘Gardens for Us and Them’. He will explain how home gardens can be stepping stones for wildlife to move between nature reserves. After the talk there will be refreshments and a chance to chat about current garden topics.

  • Guided Walk

    Abbey Fields is holding a guided walk around Croft Close Set-Aside on Wednesday 26th October from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

    The walk will be led by Jon Pavey and we hope to enjoy the autumnal colours, maybe see some winter thrushes and fabulous fungi. The walk is free but we ask that you consider making a £5 donation on the day.

  • October Working Parties – Croft Close Set-Aside

    Regular working parties will get together at Croft Close Set-Aside on 8th, 18th and 30th October.

    All work parties will have a mix of activities, from light trimming to heavier manual work so there should be something for most, but not, on this occasion, young families.
