    Cambridge Quilters Christmas Party

    Cambridge Quilters have their Christmas party on Wednesday 14th December from 7.30pm at the Recreation Ground hall.

    Membership is inclusive and ranges from absolute beginners to professional quilters, with their work ranging from traditional to modern quilting and everything in between.

  • Kawaii Kubs Elf Workshop

    Kawaii Kubs are holding a play session on Sunday 18th December at the Royal British Legion between 9am and 4pm.

    Earn your elf certificate in this quick elf skills workshop session, explore our sensory and messy Christmas play trays, and decorate a Christmas wreath to take home. Make some magical reindeer food to take home ready for the big night, try out the tools from the elf toy factory, and take part in a giant snow ball fight.

  • Garden Club Meeting – Cancelled

    Histon and Impington Garden Club is holding a talk on Tuesday 13th December from 7.30pm at Histon Methodist Church.

    Zsuzsa Serer will advise us on how to ‘Grow Tropical Plants in the UK’, sharing their influences on us. The talk will be followed by tea/coffee and festive nibbles.

  • Tylers Mince Pie Morning

    Tylers is holding a cake, mince pie and coffee morning on Friday 16th December from 9am in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.

    Anyone is more than welcome to pop in and sample some of the home-made mince pies and cakes on offer along with a hot drink and donate as they see fit.

  • Salvation Army Super Sunday

    Histon Salvation Army is having a super Sunday on 18th December showing the World Cup Final at 3pm and Histon Salvation Army’s Carol Service at 6pm.

    The hall will be open from 2pm for all the pre-match build up and then following the football we will transition into the Carol Service. The perfect end to a wonderful day.

    The heating will be on. The kettle brewing. And the festivities will abound. The odd mince pie may make an appearance too.

  • Kawaii Kubs “Merry Grinchmas”

    Kawaii Kubs are holding a play session on Sunday 11th December at the Royal British Legion between 9am and 4pm.

    They have once again teamed up with @thecambridgesoftplaycompany to bring you a grinchy green Christmas wonderland of Grinch themed softplay and playtrays to explore, plus a visit from the Grinch who will grudgingly give your wee one a Christmas gift. Also photographer Tom Juggins @tomjuggins_uk – your first digital photograph is included in your ticket.

  • HIAG Talk – Late Bronze Age Pottery

    Histon and Impington Archaeology Group have a talk “Make, use, break, repeat: Late Bronze Age pottery from Must Farm, Peterborough” on Monday 12th December from 7.30pm at Histon Methodist Church (or on Zoom).

    The talk by Dr Matt Brudenell, Director of the Cambridge Archaeological Unit, will examine the character, content, and context of use of the pottery from Must Farm, shedding new light on the way people made, utilised and deposited pottery in everyday routines of Late Bronze Age life.
