  • Histon v Eynesbury Rovers

    Monday, 26 December 2022 Kick-off at 12pm (CHANGED FROM 2PM)

The Stutes will be back in action at Bridge Road on Boxing Day for the traditional festive season  derby game.  This year it is Eynesbury Rovers who will be the opposition, making the short journey up the A428 for a 12 noon kick-off.

For Histon, it will be their first match in three weeks after the icy condition put paid to their last two fixtures.  The game will also give the Stutes the chance to make it three wins in a row after recording victories against Coventry United and Desborough Town prior to the cold snap.  Manager Lance Key is hoping the break will have worked in his team’s favour, saying,  “Our last game was way back on 3rd December which seems an age ago, but the rest will have hopefully done the squad some good”

Lance will be hoping to have striker Dan Brown back from injury and midfielder Harry Meats may also be available after breaking a foot back in October.

The Boxing Day derby usually attracts one of the biggest attendances of the season and this year’s game is expected to be no exception.  The club is therefore advising supporters who wish to avoid any delays at the turnstiles to purchase their tickets in advance by going to https://histonfc.ktckts.com/  Admission is £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and £2 for 12-16 year-olds.
