Impington Music Society is holding its next concert on Friday 22nd March from 7.30pm at Impington Village College.
This Spring Term, the IMS offers local music students a performance platform. For some it will be an opportunity to rehearse their graded exam pieces; for some others it will be a taster of what life might be like as a professional musician. This concert is the turn of some of Thanea Hodges’ senior piano students.
Concerts take place in the Brackenbury Room and are open to the public. Pick and choose which concerts to come to (adult tickets are usually £10), or, better still, get a season ticket for just £40 and support live, local music.
On Friday 22nd March and Saturday 23rd March, Choir 2000 will be singing Parry’s “Songs of Farewell” and a concert version of Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas”, with fabulous soloists and the Choir2000 Orchestra, all led by our amazing Musical Director Chloë Allison.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for the choir to explore these great English composers through these two beautiful and poignant pieces of music. We look forward to performing these lovely pieces – come and join us.

Abbey Fields is holding one of its regular work parties at Croft Close Set-aside on Tuesday 20th February from 2 – 3.30pm.
All work parties will have a mix of activities, from light trimming to heavier manual work so there should be something for most. Starting at the Croft Close entrance to the Set-aside.
Please register in advance by emailing sitemanagers@abbeyfields.online. This allows us to let you know if the work party has to be cancelled, and also to ask you, if you can, to bring specific tools to suit the planned tasks.
Please come dressed for the weather, with long sleeves, gloves and, if possible, a hi-viz gilet or jacket. Secateurs and loppers will always be handy.
