Victorian social history in Cambridge is widely documented, but this talk is one with an exceptional difference. Nigel Fenner helps shed new light on a little researched aspect of Cambridge during this period, helping us understand what a crucial role sport played in bringing the town and gown together during the Victorian era. Tickets are free for Village Society Members, and cost £3 for non-Members. You can either attend in-person or watch on Zoom. Please book via the Eventbrite link; https://www.eventbrite.com/…/h-i-village-society-may…or email handivsoc@gmail.com for more information.
