  • The Hope of Easter

    The five churches in Histon invite you to discover the Hope of Easter on Good Friday from 10am to 12pm.

    We have five different areas for you to explore on The Green, ending with Hot Cross Buns at the Methodist Church. There will be short stories told by characters in the Easter story, things to do, make and play with. 

    All are welcome.

  • Residents’ Memories of Histon and Impington

    Histon and Impington Village Society is holding a talk on Tuesday 28th March from 7.30pm at Histon Methodist Church.

    There will be a panel of four local guest speakers who will give an insight into their memories of growing up and working in Histon and Impington. This will be followed by a fun and relaxed Question & Answer session where we hope audience members will share their own memories or ask questions of those who lived here when the villages were much smaller.

  • Engage: Community CPR and Defibrillator training

    Histon Library is running a session to show you how to perform effective CPR using a Defibrillator on Wednesday 15th March from 2 – 3pm.

    Delivered by Nicola Cooper, Magpas Air Ambulance Community Training and Engagement Officer.

    Donations towards refreshments welcome.

  • Big Tidy Up

    There will be litter picking in Histon and Impington on Saturday 4th March.

    The organiser will be at the village car park on the High Street from 9am, assigning areas and giving out equipment and bags etc. Complimentary coffee and cake will be available from the Smokehouse opposite The Green from 10am to 12pm.

    Histon Library is holding an Engage in the Afternoon event on Wednesday 15th February from 2pm-3.30pm.

    The HI HUB team will talk about our experiences providing a relevant and valuable news service for the Histon and Impington community. Find out more about how and why HI HUB got started and the interesting challenges we face along the way.

  • HILF Book Sale

    Histon and Impington Library Friends (HILF) are hold a book sale on Saturday 11th February at Histon Methodist Church Hall from 10am to 12pm.

    For all donations of quality books, please can you drop off at 9.30am on the day at the church hall.

    We very much look forward to seeing you there while enjoying the refreshments on offer in the hall.

  • Winter Wassail

    Winter Wassail

    Histon and Impington Community Orchard Project (HICOP) is holding a Winter Wassail on Saturday 25th February from 5pm at the Community Orchard.

    Once again we will gather to wake the trees from their Winter slumber and sing a toast to the apple trees in our Community Orchard.

    Bring lanterns and torches, pots, pans and spoons to bang to wake the trees, and your singing voices to join in with the Impingtones. And ribbons too if you want to gently tie them around the trees.

    Light refreshments available – please bring your own mug if you can.

    HI Family Hub

    The Histon and Impington Wellbeing Team are holding a Family Hub session on Saturday 25th February between 11am-12pm at the Saint Andrew’s Centre.

    It is a space for an hour of wellbeing craft activities for school-aged children, and time to chat and relax for parents.

  • Impington Music Society – Piano Concert

    Impington Music Society is holding a concert on Friday 10th February from 7.30pm in the Brackenbury Room at Impington Village College.

    We have a very special group of talented local young pianists – all are the pupils of the highly respected piano teacher, Thanea Hodges. We can promise you an absolutely delightful evening. One aim of our Society is to give young musicians the opportunity to play to a welcoming audience in a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere, and to have the experience of playing our lovely grand piano.
