    HI Family Hub

    Bringing families together to improve wellbeing through creativity. Saturday 16th October, 10:30-11:30, Saint Andrew’s Centre.

    Come along for an hour of wellbeing craft activities for school-aged children, and time to chat and relax for parents! Led by Emma Moat and Sophie Howell, play therapists that work with Brook and Park Primary schools.

    Etheldred House are holding a careers fair on Monday 9th August for anyone who would like to find out more about a role at Etheldred to come and meet our their team to find out more.

  • Birds & Hedgehogs Picnic

    Birds & hedgehogs picnic in the Histon and Impington Community Orchard on Saturday 7th August at 9:30-11:30am

    The HICOP team on hand to answer any questions about the orchard, the RSPB will be bird ringing and will tell everyone about their work and there will be people explaining how to make your garden more hedgehog friendly.

    Everyone welcome, please bring your own picnic, blankets and refreshments.

  • Strawberry Community Cycling Event

    This year’s Strawberry Cycle Event will take place on Sunday 5th September starting at the Recreation Ground and is organised by Histon & Impington Bicycle Club and HI Friends. The rides are open to cyclists of all standards, participants range from young adults to veterans, from occasional cyclists to keen club riders. Everyone cycles at their own speed or with friends and family.

  • U3AC Open Day

    Established educational charity U3AC, based in Bridge Street, Cambridge, is opening its doors to new members with an Open Day on Monday 9th August, 2021. From 10am – 2pm.

    U3AC offers, to over 2,200 members, 300+ educational courses from History and Sciences through to Board Games and Dance to over 2,200 members currently. The event will be held at 27-28 Bridge Street, Cambridge CB2 1UJ. Find out more at: u3ac.org.uk

  • Feast Week

    In spite of the ongoing restrictions Feast Week 2021 will still celebrate the villages, the community and it’s businesses through these initiatives see Feast Week 2021 : a celebration of our community.

    Summer Feast Loyalty Card asks you to shop and use local businesses in Feast Week to show your loyalty, with the chance to win prizes for completing the card.  With 26 local businesses are getting involved and offering profits made on special products to Feast Funds and a range of prizes.  Due to the number of prizes available, the number of purchases needed on the Loyalty Card to enter the Prize Draw has also been reduced from 10 to 5!     HI Doughnut Awards A chance to celebrate and recognise people who have altered the social foundation or environment of our villages, in collaboration with the Parish Council, Council of Churches and HI Friends.  All 5 group awards have been funded by the Beer Festival Committee who unanimously voted to fund the awards and all group award winners will nominate local charities or groups to receive the money they have won.   • Maintenance Day – Histon FC

    On Sunday 27th June Histon Football Club are holding a Maintenance Day at the Bridge Road Stadium.

    They are looking for people who can spare a few hours to help get the home of Histon FC ready for the start of the 2021/22 season.

  • Green Canopy Talk

    On Tuesday 6th July 8.00pm Dan Mace will talk on Zoom about why we should plant trees, what we’ve done in Histon and Impington over the years, and our plans for the future. He’ll highlight the Feast Week Green Canopy survey as they want to know where you think new trees could be planted.
