Senior Pharmacology Scientist – Exploratory Biology to support the Associate Director, Exploratory Biology in managing a variety of biology/pharmacology-based research programmes required to achieve the preclinical department’s annual objectives. The primary objective of the Exploratory Biology team is to drive and enable technical approaches and analytical methods to help identify novel biological targets and pathways relevant to the mechanism of action of cannabinoids (and other entities). This entails the co-ordination of in-vitro, in-vivo and ex-vivo assays performed via key scientific collaborations to provide rigorous multivariate data sets to support the progression of the GW pipeline. Outputs from Exploratory Biology are expected to provide novel and validated methodologies and data to support confirmation of target/pathway interactions with cannabinoids (and other entities) thereby supporting translational decision making and facilitating the generation of novel intellectual property. This role is a non-laboratory-based position.
