Strawberry 50 Community Cycling Event

Strawberry 50 Community Cycling Event

The Strawberry 50 is back this year and will take place on Sunday 1st September.

Established in 2015, the Strawberry 50 has become a successful mass
participation sporting event with nearly 800 people taking part in
2017. The sportive is a fun and relaxed way to enjoy cycling along the
country roads of south west Cambridgeshire and is open to cyclists of
all standards. Participants range from young adults to veterans, from
occasional cyclists to keen club riders. Everyone cycles at their own
speed or with friends and family.

Choose from one of two routes – 55 miles, or a shorter 28-mile
route. The courses are well signposted with marshals on hand throughout
the day. Water stops and food and drink are available for sale around
the course, offering a chance to take a rest, pick up a snack and chat
with other cyclists.

As in previous years the routes start and finish from Histon and
Impington Recreation Ground (CB24 9LU), while the 55-mile route also
offers a second start / finish at Gamlingay Eco Hub (Stocks Lane, SG19
3JR). For information about Gamlingay Eco Hub, please visit
