BIG TIDY UP

BIG TIDY UP

Histon and Impington’s next quarterly ‘BIG TIDY UP’ is planned for Saturday 5th September. This can be done any time on the day to suit individuals. (Or even on Sunday 6th if preferred).

The HI team of Road Adopters litter pick throughout the year around their busy lives, but many like the formal BTU occasions, when they know lots of others are taking part too.

During September the whole country is coming together in the Great Britain September clean, organised by ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ charity . We have registered our Village group to take part.

If you would like to join the BIG TIDY UP, or join the band of regular litter pickers, please contact Cedric Foster (cedric.jl.foster1944@btinternet.com) who will ensure that you have the correct equipment and are aware of relevant health and safety advice.

Due to Covid19 restrictions, anyone requiring replacement equipment or more bags, please contact Cedric Foster to arrange collection from 4 Clay Street. (corner house at bottom of Winders Lane). There are fresh supplies of strong bags and Litter Grabbers including Children’s size available.

During the weekend 5th/6th September, bags of litter should be tied and left at one of the collection points namely
1. In village High Street car park (in one corner).
2. Park Lane near dog bin (opposite Park Avenue).
3. Near Bin adjacent to The Gate Keepers building.
4. Near Bin in Cambridge Road (opposite Highfield Road).
