Recycling and Waste

The Green

Enviro fun for all in Histon and Impington. We have regular working parties (usually Saturday morning) focussing on making natural areas look nice.
Green Blue You
Organisation
Green Blue You offer eco friendly essentials online and at local pop up stalls including the Histon Smokehouse. Our range includes household, cleaning, bath and body, personal care, baby and pet products.
Histon and Impington Litter Pickers (HILP) events are held on the first weekend of March, June, September and December. My Patch: residents adopt an area to keep tidy of litter (litter grabber and gloves loaned long-term) and report concerns such as potholes, poor state of paths, overhanging vegetation, blocked road gullies, fly tipping, fly posting, street name plate issues.
Histon & Impington Litter-picking Group (HILP) does exactly what its name implies – members pick up litter in the area they have agreed as ‘their patch’ – each covering streets and/or green areas in Histon and Impington. Many volunteers pick their patches as frequently as they can or feel the need, and then join in concerted efforts every quarter, which are called Big Tidy Up events (BTUs).
