Clubs and Societies

A friendly community club in Cambridge who play croquet on the Recreation Ground and are always keen to welcome new members. The croquet season starts in April and extends through the year until September. Regular club sessions.
Meets Tuesdays and Fridays, 9.30am-1.30pm, Baptist Church Hall. Open to men and women over sixty. A warm welcome to new members.

Supports the lives of people with memory loss and dementia, as well as their carers and families.
Histon and Impington Garden Club
Meets second Tuesday in the month, September–May, 7pm, Methodist Church Hall. We offer a wide variety of speakers; afterwards chat about gardening topics over light refreshments. A day visit to a major garden and an evening in a local garden organised each year.
Histon and Impington Gentle Walking Group
Meets Thursdays at varying locations for walks around the village on firm surfaces, or via the Guided Bus to walk in surrounding villages.
Railway
Meets regularly and exhibits a working model railway based on the former Histon Station and the Chivers factory. Membership open to everyone for a modest annual subscription.
Histon and Impington Open Gardens
A village event held every two years to raise money for charities and to foster community spirit. The 2019 event raised a wonder­ful £10,000.
HI Sustainability

Diabetes support group
Meets second Thursday in the month, 7pm, via Zoom during the pandemic, otherwise Recreation Centre. A peer to peer support group for pre and type 2 diabetics and their carers. For meeting announcements, notes and advice, visit website.
