1st Histon Scouts Group’s Annual General Meeting is just around the corner, and we would love to see you there. It will be held at the Scout and Guide Hut, New Road, Impington on Wednesday 30th April at 8pm.
We would also like to invite community members to join our Trustee Board (new Trustees will be approved at the AGM).
What is a Trustee?
- Trustees play a crucial role in overseeing the governance of the Group, ensuring that the Group runs smoothly, risks are managed, and legal requirements are met.
- Your involvement helps us provide a safe and enriching environment for our young people.
- More information about Scout Group Trustee Boards and how they are elected can be found at: www.scouts.org.uk/volunteers/volunteer-experience/teams/trustee-boards/
When do we meet?
- The Trustee Board meets six to seven times a year, typically on Wednesday evenings.
- We offer a hybrid meeting format, so you can join us in person or online, whichever suits you best.
What’s in it for you?
- The knowledge you are making a difference in our community, an opportunity to enhance your skill set, support others in developing theirs, and a lot of fun and laughter along the way.
Interested in becoming a Scouts Trustee? We’d love to hear from you. Please email our Secretary (secretary@histon-scouts.org.uk) by 5pm on Thursday, April 17th. In your email, include a brief statement (under 200 words) about why you’d like to join the Trustee Board, or please contact the same address with any questions you may have.
