    Intern – Applied Research The Research and Strategy team at CMR are tasked with researching, developing, evaluating and documenting technologies for future use in surgical robotics. This covers the full range of technologies necessary to develop a complex mechatronic medical device. An internship in the Research and Strategy team is suited to students interested in a career in technology development or a research establishment. This internship will cover many aspects of applied research including using practical and theoretical knowledge to design and conduct investigations and evaluate their findings.

    Intern – Supply Chain The Operations – System Supply Chain team at CMR Surgical are responsible for all Supply Chain activity for Parts & Assemblies going into the Versius system. This includes all Technical Plastics, Hi-Precision Mechanicals, Advanced Electronics / Harness-work & Complex Sub-Assemblies. This team is responsible for a very Hi-Tech International Supply Base activity (including Contracting, Procurement, Scheduling, Inventory Management) across the US, UK, Europe, China and The Far East.
    An internship in the System Supply Chain team is suited to students interested in a career in any Supply Chain activity.

    Intern – Data Science The Research and Strategy team at CMR are tasked with researching, developing, evaluating and documenting technologies for future use in surgical robotics.  This covers the full range of technologies necessary to develop a complex mechatronic medical device. An internship in the Research and Strategy team is suited to students interested in a data science career. This internship would cover data science roles including data engineering, data analysis and more advanced data analytics comprising machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, signal processing, statistics and robotic kinematics.

    Intern – System Test The Systems and Reliability Department at CMR, consists of System Test Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Usability Engineers, Electronics & Test Technicians and Interns who work as a team to primarily evaluate the Versius System. The Versius System includes two or more medical robots that are controlled using a surgeon console. The team ensures that the Versius system is thoroughly tested and is fit for purpose. An internship in the team is suited to students interested in a career in in the following roles / areas: test engineering, systems engineering, reliability & maintenance engineering, test development and implementation and / or process development for testing products in manufacturing.

    Intern – Production Software The Production Software team at CMR develops the embedded software that controls the Versius robot. Almost every aspect of the robot, from scissors cutting tissue to icons flashing on a screen, is controlled by software. We follow strict international standards to design, write and test safety-critical embedded software. An internship in the Production Software team will be a great start for anyone planning a career in software engineering. You’ll find out what it takes to develop software for a system that really makes a positive difference to people’s lives.

    Intern – Mechanical Development As part of a truly multi-disciplinary product development team of mechanical, electronic, software and system test engineers, the Mechanical Development team at CMR designs and develops the mechanics of the Versius robot, the surgical instruments, and the consumables which, together, comprise the Versius surgical robotic system. An internship in the Mechanical Development team is a great start for anyone planning a career in mechanical engineering. You will learn what it takes to develop complex mechanical systems and medical devices.

    GW Pharma based on Vision Park are recruiting for 9 jobs in their Cambridge office on the Vision Park in Histon and 11 jobs that are field based out of the Cambridge office including these new roles.

    Discovery Program Manager to work across an internal and external matrix to aid in the successful planning, execution and delivery of the GW preclinical programme portfolio and be accountable for planning, managing and tracking aspects of the preclinical discovery programmes.
