  • Shop Local

Shop Local is a HI HUB initiative that will give Histon & Impington businesses a chance to stimulate their sales and increase footfall, at the same time rewarding local people for supporting them.

Running throughout October 2021, it aims to ensure that every Histon & Impington resident is aware of the fabulous products and services available on our doorstep – and has an extra incentive to find out more about them.

    HOW DOES IT WORK?

    It’s very simple:

    Advert

    1. You think up an offer.

Local businesses, shops and traders, what might tempt more local people to use your services? Maybe ‘5% off’; free coffee on a Monday; free quote; ‘enter a prize draw’… use your imagination! With Halloween and Half Term there is plenty of scope for exciting offers for all ages. You know best what will tempt your potential customers to head in your direction.

    2. HI HUB tells everyone about it.

We’ve come up with special series of communications designed to reach everyone in the village:

    • An email compiling all the unique special offers will be sent directly to over >1,200 local HI HUB subscribers. (When we asked our readers if they’d welcome a HI HUB email with special offers from local businesses, the answer was an overwhelming YES).
    • The special offers will be printed in a pull-out spread in October’s HisImp News – the Parish Council newsletter that is delivered to every household in the village – all 3,500 of them.
    • The special offers will remain live on the HI HUB website throughout the month of October.
    • Each offer will also be promoted separately through the HI People Community Facebook group.

    3. Customers use your services.

To redeem the offer your customer will need to quote HI HUB Shop Local at purchase. And when they do, please keep a note of uptake as we’d love your feedback to help us constantly improve what we do for local businesses.

    HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

If you are already listed in the HI HUB Directory of local services, there’s a one-off fee of £25 to be included in the October campaign – just provide us with your logo, your contact details and a 30-word description of your special offer and we will do the rest.

    £25

If you are not already in the HI HUB Directory, you can still be part of the Shop Local October campaign for just £35. We’ll simply need your organisation name, a logo, your contact details and a 30-word description covering your business and your special offer.

    £35

Why not buy a year’s BASIC COMMERCIAL LISTING in the HI HUB Directory as well as joining the campaign? Let customers search for you all year round and build on this with targeted promotions using Shop Local? As well as your business name, your logo, your contact details and a 30-word description of your special offer, we’ll need a 100-word description of what you offer – a chance to ‘sell yourself’ to the local community.

    £60

Why not take advantage of OUR special offer, with a 20% discount if you sign up for an ENHANCED COMMERCIAL LISTING in the HI HUB Directory at the same time as booking your Shop Local slot. As well as being a part of the Shop Local campaign, you will have a year-round presence in the HI HUB Directory with:

    • a short (approx.) 30-word description of your business
    • unlimited text for a much fuller description of what you offer your logo, and
    • up to 3 additional images

    £80
