Rethinking the Roman to Early Medieval Transition at Girton’s Cemetery

Rethinking the Roman to Early Medieval Transition at Girton’s Cemetery

Histon and Impington Archaeology Group is holding a talk on Monday 10th October from 7.30pm at Histon Methodist Church.

The talk is by Emma Brownlee from Girton College. When the current buildings of Girton College were constructed in the late 19th century, the builders made an unexpected discovery; a substantial Roman and early medieval cemetery, containing 75 inhumation graves and at least 125 cremations.

Registration for the Zoom link for the October talk is here.
