Village Talk: Christmas Corner
Histon and Impington Village Society is holding a talk on Tuesday 27th September at 7.30pm at Histon Methodist Church.
Where the boundary runs between Histon & Impington; where Station Road meets Bridge Road and Saffron Road; sometimes known as War Memorial Green or historically Little Green, or Cambridge End next Impington; there is an area named for a family of builders, carpenters, innkeepers and undertakers called Christmas, who lived and worked there for most of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.
The talk by Wendy Doyle will describe the fine mix of buildings from the 16th to the 20th centuries, and the history of some fascinating families.
